We met back in 2011 at Paul Jones' annual charity concert where we were both performing and chatted for ages backstage about our love for blues music/history and also we had mutual Mississippi musician friends we'd both played with too. I think he was impressed a twenty-something (at the time!) knew her blues! He called me a few days later and asked me to join him on his tour in 2012 and later sing a track on his Shine album (released 2014).

So many memories and awesome moments shared on stage with him on his UK tours, at festivals and a couple times at Silverstone's British Grand Prix. There was definitely not a dull moment to be had! I was always welcomed at his home by his lovely family too.

He will most definitely be missed, a true one off and talent by the bucketloads.
