Cherry caught up with long time friend and supporter, Goddess of the Airwaves Sue Marchant recently on her new Cambridge 105 radio show. also on her Felixstone Radio show too. Sue played a couple of tracks from Late Night Lock-In live album. You can have a listen back here if you missed it from 12 minutes in on the show broadcast 13 February.

We hope here at CherryJam that you all had a safe and lovely Christmas, as different as it was, it was a weird one for us all in 2020 so let's all pray for a better 2021 with the return of live music being one of the first things on the list to return!

With all their gigs and festivals cancelled/postponed for the foreseeable, Cherry found a way to collaborate with her band while they're all in isolation by putting together a totally raw and rustic live version of their song Western Star with all 5 of them in split screen mode and they enjoyed it so much and the response on social media has been so great, that they have decided to do one a week now which will be released onto Cherry's YouTube and Facebook pages every Sunday!

What crazy times we're living through right now i'm sure you'll agree, lots of industries getting hit hard especially the entertainment world and it's just heartbreaking to see all of Cherry's fellow musicians and all the stage managers, sound engineers, venue owners finding themselves unemployed with shows being cancelled or postponed. The last three months have seen Cherry visiting Norway, Iceland, Denmark, Lithuania, Finland, and Russia as part of another jazz tour on the high seas, Poland for two blues festivals with Krissy Matthews (see previous news entry) and more recently, Orkney Isles for Orkney Blues Festival which was a welcome return for Cherry and her band after their last performance there was 9 years ago! This past weekend saw Cherry make her debut performance in Poland at Lidzbark Jazzowe Festival on the Saturday and Poland's biggest blues festival; Suwalki Blues Festival on the Sunday alongside her good friend fellow blues artist, Krissy Matthews.
Not only did they wow the extremely appreciative Polish audiences but they were both presented with their very own engraved music note on the metal jazz tree that has jazz music playing 24/7 in Lidzbark.

It was a swelterin' hot festival last weekend when Cherry rocked out with the Think Floyd boys at Plaza de Toros bullring in Estepona for the Pink Purple Zep Fest II in Spain.
